Michael Kleineberg

Encyclopedia of Big Pictures Initiative Leader Dr. Michael Kleineberg studied library and information science and German literature at Humboldt-University in Berlin, Germany. His research interests cover the intersection of knowledge organization, developmental psychology, and cultural evolution, exploring the concept of integrative levels as organizing principle for cultural artifacts. He is on the editorial board of the journal Knowledge Organization, committee member of the Archdisciplinary Research Center, and editorial advisor for the Journal of Archdisciplinary Studies. He currently works at the university library of Free University in Berlin as open access officer and is responsible for the journal section of Berlin Universities Publishing.
